Our verdict
Status
This promise is in progress. The Scottish Government announced the Energy Transition Fund in mid-2021 and have distributed much of this money. For example, in August 2021, they announced that £16.5m, to be match-funded by industry, had been awarded to the Net Zero Technology Centre to develop seven projects.
