Our verdict
Status
This promise is in progress. The Scottish National Investment bank was first launched before the election, in November 2020, when the Scottish Government committed to spend £2bn over ten years. The Scottish Government affirmed its support for this pledge and the target of £1bn over the course of the current Parliament in November 2021 while announcing an investment in an onshore wind project.
