Our verdict
Status
This pledge is in progress. In September 2021, the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish governments sent a joint letter to the UK government calling for physical documentation for EU citizens with pre-settled or settled status. This suggests that the Scottish Government is examining the issue, though no concrete actions towards the “exploration” of a Scotland-only card have been evidenced.
