This promise is in progress. The Scottish Government launched the Green Growth Accelerator in June 2021, opening an application process for projects to pilot the process. In October 2021 the Scottish Government announced that it would provide £1m of funding to five of these local authority “pathfinder” projects and committed to a further rollout in 2022/2023. The promise will be considered enacted once the £200m of funding (which includes multiple funding streams, including anticipated private investment) figure is met.
