This pledge is in progress. Before the election, the Scottish Government had already established the “Delivering Equally Safe Fund” for this purpose. The application process was paused due to the pandemic, and eventually closed at the end of May 2021. In August 2021, the successful applicants were announced and £38m was dedicated to these projects over a two-year period. However, it is unclear if the remaining £62m pledged in the manifesto will form an extension of this scheme, if a replacement scheme will total £100m or if the promise has been broken.
