Status

Tourism vouchers for carers and disadvantaged groups were announced as part of the £25m tourism recovery fund unveiled by the Scottish Government in March 2021. Applications for businesses interested in joining the scheme opened in August 2021 via VisitScotland. The vouchers are due to be distributed by charities and distributed by December 2022. People with disabilities haven’t been explicitly mentioned in any materials so far, and the pledge will be considered broken if this group is ultimately left out of the scheme.
