Our verdict
Status
This promise has been achieved. Before the 2021 election, the previous Scottish Government’s final Programme for Government signalled the SNP administration’s intent to create a Blue Economy Action Plan. In March 2022, the Scottish Government launched a Blue Economy Vision strategy, covering plans for all the areas mentioned in the manifesto.
