Our verdict
Status
This pledge has been fulfilled. In July 2021, the Scottish Government announced £5m of extra funding specifically targeted at relieving pressure on these services. £4.5m will be split between Rape Crisis Scotland and Scottish Women’s Aid, with the remainder being distributed to 12 smaller services.

Other pledges
The SNP also promised to establish a £100m funding stream for similar purposes and ringfence part of it for frontline services. Additionally, they pledged to create a strategy to tackle sexual and intimate partner violence against men and boys.
